Product Introduction
The RY-NS series controllable and optimized early discharge lightning rod is an upgraded product that is based on the conventional early discharge lightning rod and has undergone technological optimization and improvement. It is a new type of early streamer emitter and lightning arrester developed and produced based on lightning electrical characteristics. During the formation of lightning, this lightning arrester triggers a continuous upward lead within its protection radius earlier than other products. The product has a larger pre discharge time (△ T) compared to conventional pre discharge lightning rods, which ensures that the RY-NS series controllable optimized pre discharge lightning rod can trigger continuous upstream leads earlier during operation, thereby intercepting downstream leads (lightning strikes) over a larger distance and ultimately protecting a larger area from lightning strikes.

In practical applications, the working principle of the RY-NS series controllable optimized early discharge lightning rod is as follows:
1. In the comprehensive environment of thunderstorm weather, when lightning clouds form in the air, an electric field is generated in the atmosphere between the clouds and the ground, with a strength of up to 14 kV/m. Such a strong electric field causes corona discharge to appear on the protruding parts of the ground or metal components; (See Figure 1-1)
2. When a downward leader is formed inside the lightning cloud layer, lightning strikes begin, and the downward leader charges develop towards the ground in a stepped manner. The charges carried by the downward leader establish an electric field on the ground; (See Figure 1-2)
3. A rising precursor is generated from a building or object on the ground, which propagates upwards until it merges with a descending precursor, at which point lightning current flows through the formed channel. A single building on the ground may generate several ascending leads, and the first ascending lead that converges with the descending lead determines the location of the lightning strike; (See Figure 1-3)
4. Pre discharge lightning rod in advance is achieved by actively triggering the built-in high-voltage pulse generator system to generate a faster upstream pilot than ordinary lightning rods, thereby achieving active lightning protection. (See Figure 1-4)
The RY-NS series controllable optimized early discharge lightning rod is optimized based on the working process of the early pre discharge lightning rod. It is equipped with an early streamer emission device developed according to the electrical characteristics of lightning, which can trigger the continuous upward pilot (i.e. continuous early pre discharge) of the lightning arrester within its protection radius earlier than other products.

The RY-NS series controllable optimized early discharge lightning rod is a qualified product that complies with the national standard GB50057-2010 and multiple international standards, and has been regulated and required by multiple international certification agencies.
The main testing items, methods, and forms are as follows:
1. Regulatory requirements (testing items)
Compliant with NF C17-102:2011 "Pre discharge lightning rod" standard - salt spray test, humid sulfur atmosphere test, withstand current impulse test: 100kA (10/350 μ s), pre power generation time (△ T) test.
2. Execution standards and forms
2.1 Implement the requirements of the national standard GB50057-2010.

The monitoring samples collected by AENOR technicians are tested in official and independent laboratories.
4. Experimental parameters
Test qualification conditions - withstand current of 100 kA, 20 pulses (10/350 μ s), experimental process and results - directly apply 20 pulse currents (10/350 μ s), peak current higher than 100kA, and specific energy greater than 2.5MJ/Ω, the product is tested qualified.
5. 95% of the rainwater insulation performance test is conducted according to IEC-EN 60060-1:2012. 6. Environmental testing
According to the requirements of UNE21186, NF C 17-102, and NP 4426 standards, the same sample is continuously tested in an environment with high salt spray and sulfur concentration to ensure the normal operation of pre discharge lightning rods in highly corrosive environments. At the same time, a high current impulse test was conducted on the product in this environment, and a 10/350 μ s wave impulse of 100kA was applied to the lightning arrester. After multiple shocks, it still worked normally.

According to NFC17-102 regulations, the product's advance time (△ T) for pre discharge lightning rods is required.
